The address shall be placed at the front of the residence. Such address shall be clearly visible from the nearest fronting road and kept free and clear of any obstructions hindering reasonable visibility from the nearest fronting road. The numbers shall be in a standard Arabic form of a size at least three (3) inches by two (2) inches, or larger if necessary to be visible from the nearest fronting road or fire lane, and in a color distinguishable from its background, with the exception that existing posted numerals shall be acceptable hereunder if so visible as to adequately identify each single family dwelling. The use of script, Roman numerals or other non-plain numeric format shall be prohibited as the only or primary address identification.
