The city can revise, rearrange and codify its ordinances with such additions and deletions as the council considers necessary. The ordinance code must be published in book, pamphlet or continuously revised loose-leaf form and copies must be made available at the council secretary’s office for distribution to the public free or at a reasonable charge as the council determines. Publication in a code is sufficient publication of any ordinance provision not previously published if notice that copies of the codification are available at the council secretary’s office and it is published in the official newspaper for at least two successive weeks.
