§ 15.96 RIGHT OF ENTRY.
   Members of the Police Department designated by the Chief of Police shall have the right and they are hereby authorized and empowered to enter or go upon or about any building or premises used for business purposes at any reasonable hour for the purpose of inspecting the physical security of exterior accessible openings of such building or premises or for any other purposes consistent herewith. Such members shall be given prompt access to any area of the building or premises upon oral notification to the responsible person; provided, however, that, upon request, such member shall exhibit a badge or other evidence of his or her identity and authority. Refusal to admit such member for such purpose is a misdemeanor.
