The Chief of Police shall examine, or cause to be examined, the accessible exterior openings of every building, or part thereof, which is subject to the provisions hereof. Where accessible exterior openings exist which do not meet the requirements hereof, notice in writing shall be given to the responsible person setting forth the deficiencies which are to be corrected and the period within which same shall be completed. Failure to complete corrective action in the period of time specified shall result in enforcement action as provided in this Article V.
