7-2-11: PARKING VIOLATIONS:
   A.   The owner or operator of any vehicle who has been charged with committing any of the following offenses:
      Leaving a motor vehicle running and unattended,
      Overtime parking,
      Parking in a fire lane,
      Parking in a no parking zone or at a place where parking is otherwise prohibited,
      Parking in a safety zone,
      Parking in violation of subsection 7-2-1A of this chapter,
      Parking on any street between two o'clock (2:00) A.M. and five o'clock (5:00) A.M. in violation of subsection 7-2-2B of this chapter, may settle and compromise such charge without making a hearing appearance by paying the sum of twenty five dollars ($25.00), if paid within ten (10) days following issuance of a complaint therefor. If the fine is not paid within ten (10) days following the issuance, the owner or operator of the vehicle who has been charged with committing any of the offenses in this subsection shall be punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. At hearing, each convicted violation shall result in a fine in the amount not less than fifty dollars ($50.00).
   B.   The owner or operator of any vehicle who has been charged with committing any of the following offenses:
      Improper parking in an area designated for parking by persons with disabilities only, may settle and compromise such charge without making a court appearance by paying the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00), if paid within ten (10) days following issuance of a complaint therefor. If the fine is not paid within ten (10) days following the issuance, the owner or operator of the vehicle who has been charged with committing any of the offenses in this subsection shall be punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. At hearing, each convicted violation shall result in a fine in the amount not less than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
   C.   Payment of the fines designated in subsections A and B of this section shall be made by mailing a check or money order for the required amount, together with the violator's copy of the notice, to the Bloomingdale police department or by paying the same in person during regular business hours. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Bloomingdale police department.
   D.   The issuance of a delinquent notice shall increase the fines designated in subsections A and B of this section by the amount of the fines initially imposed by subsections A and B of this section. Each subsequent issuance of a delinquent notice shall again increase the total fine by the amount of the fines initially imposed by subsections A and B of this section.
