§ 36.01  IDENTITY THEFT.
   (A)   The city adopts the “City of Bloomfield Identity Theft Prevention Program”, which is attached to the resolution codified herein.
   (B)   Said program is appropriate to the size and complexity of the city and the scope of its activities; and that the program is reasonably calculated to identify and detect relevant red flags indicating a potential risk of identity theft, and includes appropriate responses to such red flags that will mitigate and prevent identity theft.
   (C)   Appropriate staff appointed by the governing board to design and implement the program shall report annually to the governing board, or to an appropriate committee of the governing board or senior employee appointed by the governing board, on the city’s compliance with 16 C.F.R. § 1681.2, as required by the Act.
   (D)   The governing board, or an appropriate committee of the governing board or senior employee appointed by the governing board, will review the program from time to time in order to update policies as needed, in order to reflect changes in risks to the city’s customers.
