Every snowmobile when operated upon a public road must have attached to the body of the vehicle a pole or rod of at least six feet (6') in height on which pole or rod is attached a colored or fluorescent flag of at least one and one-half feet by two feet (11/2' x 2') in diameter in order that the snowmobiles may be seen at a distance and over deep snow, in the interest of public safety.
