9-5-5: SANITARY CONTAINERS:
   A.   Sanitary containers for residential accounts shall be as set forth by the city council.
   B.   Sanitary containers for commercial accounts shall be as set forth by the city council.
   C.   It shall be the duty of resident or owner of any premises at all times to keep, or cause to be kept, containers, as defined above, and to deposit or cause to be deposited therein, all waste, except as otherwise herein provided.
   D.   All containers shall be: 1) equipped with close fitting covers; or 2) securely tied; or 3) otherwise closed to prevent the contents to be blown by the wind or otherwise littered.
   E.   Waste or recyclable materials shall not be compacted in a container to the extent of obstructing free and easy removal from the container.
   F.   Residents and owners shall restrain their animals from spreading waste or recyclable materials left for collection or from interfering with pick up personnel during collection. (Ord. 2089, 1-5-2010, eff. 1-5-2010)
