The sewer system for the transmission, treatment and disposal of sewage for the city shall be under the sole and exclusive control of the mayor and city council, who may from time to time direct the construction, expansion, extension, repair and maintenance of the sewer system owned and operated by the city as the necessity of the city may require. The cost of maintenance and repair of the city sewer system may be paid out of the general fund. (Ord. 2122, 5-6-2014)
