A failure to pay any civil fine or other fine, penalty or court ordered restitution, after having opportunity to contest and exhaust all default grace periods, shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00) and/or imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed six (6) months. In addition to the fine and/or jail time, the defendant shall be ordered to pay restitution to the applicable entity in the amount of the original fine, penalty or restitution attributable to the original charge, citation or violation.
