The governing body is hereby vested with complete authority to issue licenses for the operation of taxicabs and to alter, revoke or amend, or suspend the said license in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, and to regulate and limit the method of operation of taxicabs in accordance with this chapter, and is further vested with full and complete authority and responsibility to carry into effect all of the provisions of this chapter relative to the operation of taxicabs.
