Once a child has been relinquished to an entity identified in this chapter, the entity receiving the child shall:
A. Perform or provide for the completion of any necessary act to protect the physical health of the child; and
B. Notify the local office of the department of health and welfare that a child has been relinquished and the entity has taken possession of the child.
C. Not inquire as to the identity of the custodial parent, and if the identity is known or voluntarily provided, shall keep all information as to the identity confidential as required in Idaho Code 39-8203.
