Any fee paid to the city under this chapter for any structure which is not constructed, or for any mobile home park plat which is vacated, shall be refunded if written application is made within six (6) months of the payment of the fee for construction of a structure or mobile home park. The refund shall be less twenty dollars ($20.00) per structure service charge. Upon application of the applicant and a showing to the satisfaction of the building inspector or designee that the structure has not been constructed or construction commenced and that the building permit issued for the structure has been cancelled or surrendered or otherwise does not authorize the construction of the structure, or that the mobile home park plat has been vacated, a refund shall be issued.
