It is hereby declared to be the duty of every owner of property in the city within twenty four (24) hours after any snowfall, sleet or ice storm, to clear the sidewalks abutting such property. The snow, ice, sleet or other element of nature shall be cleared from the sidewalk and piled along the outer edge, or removed entirely but in no case shall it be piled in the street or gutter. Piling of snow, ice or sleet, if of a thickness of more than two inches (2"), is hereby declared to be unlawful. (1993 Code § 22-10)
