The Town Board of Trustees is hereby authorized and empowered to make and adopt such rules and regulations, as it deems proper and necessary, for the implementation of this chapter for the better protection of the health, welfare, and safety of the town. In doing so, applicable federal, state, and local standards regarding fire prevention, pollution control, public safety, nuisance, and health regulations shall be given due consideration.
