Whenever any person shall inform the Finance Officer that a nuisance exists, the Finance Officer shall cause the condition to be investigated by the Street Superintendent, and if satisfied that the complaint has merit, the Finance Officer shall give written notice to the occupant, person in charge, or owner to abate the nuisance condition(s) existing on the premises upon authorization by the Board of Trustees. The notice to abate shall set forth a reasonable time limit, in no less than five days, for correcting the violation(s), and may set forth suggested methods of correcting the same. Such notice shall be served by law enforcement.
