All license money required to be paid under any ordinance of said town shall be paid to the Finance Officer, who shall give his or her receipt therefor, stating therein the amount and the purpose for which it was received, and the stub of such receipt book shall be made to show the same facts. Every license or permit issued under the ordinances of the town shall be signed by the President, or Vice President, of the Board and attested by the Clerk, and sealed with the corporate seal.
