A franchisee shall install and maintain equipment capable of providing standby power for head end, transportation and trunk amplifiers for a minimum of four hours. The standby power equipment for the head end shall be constructed so as to automatically notify the cable office when it is in operation and to automatically revert to the standby mode when the AC power returns. All utility safety regulations must be followed to prevent a standby generator from powering the dead utility line.
