For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEPARTMENT. The offices of the Village Clerk.
FACILITY. Any man-made objects.
RIGHT-OF-WAY (R.O.W.). The land owned or controlled by the village or other governmental
agency or entity that has been designated for public use, which shall include, but shall not be limited to streets, curbs, shoulders, areas for utilities, landscape areas and other areas supporting or directly or indirectly relating to streets and/or the provision of public service.
STREET. A designated area for vehicular travel within the right of way.
VILLAGE ENGINEER. The engineering firm under contract to perform engineering services on behalf of the village.
