All dogs not claimed and released to the owner within four days, not including the first day of impoundment, shall be destroyed, or if the animal is deemed valuable by the Animal Warden, the same may be sold for the total amount of fees for boarding, providing that the dog be properly immunized and licensed at the expense of the purchaser.
