Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23 (i) of the P.A. 278 of 1909, State of Michigan, being M.C.L.A. §§ 73.23 et seq. as amended, the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, Ninth Edition 1996, as promulgated and published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., is hereby adopted by reference by the Village of Bingham Farms for the purpose of establishing the minimum regulations governing the safeguarding of life and property from the hazards of fire and explosion arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, material and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or party in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises in the Village of Bingham Farms
