§ 116.02 EXEMPTIONS.
   This chapter shall not apply to:
   (A)   Physicians, surgeons, chiropractors, osteopaths, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, and family counselors who are licensed to practice their respective professions in the state or who are permitted to practice temporarily under the auspices of an association or establishment duly licensed in the state, and clergymen.
   (B)   Nurses who are registered under the laws of this state and who administer a massage in the normal course of nursing duties.
   (C)   A trainer of any athletic team who administers a massage in the normal course of training duties.
   (D)   Barbers and cosmetologists who are duly licensed under the laws of this state and who administer a massage in the normal course of their duties.
   (E)   Participants in growth seminars or sensitivity sessions provided such seminars or sessions are conducted by a member of one of the exempted professions defined in division (A) above.
   (F)   Individuals who hold a license from the state or are otherwise authorized by the state to administer a massage.
   (G)   Massagists who meet the criteria as set forth in M.C.L. §§ 333.17951, et. seq., as amended.
   (H)   Any establishment in which the persons mentioned in divisions (A) through (F) above practice their respective professions.
   (I)   Massage therapists licensed pursuant to M.C.L. §§ 333.17951 et seq., as amended.
