All of the following classes of buildings may be covered with coverings set forth in § 150.03 or with standard asphalt-rag-felt prepared roofing, or asphalt-rag-felt shingles, or by other types of coverings having equivalent fire-resistive properties when approved and labeled by the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., Chicago, Illinois:
(A) Dwellings;
(B) Frame buildings; or
(C) Buildings not exceeding two stories, or 30 feet in height and 2,500 square feet in area, and not used for factories, warehouses, or mercantile purposes.
