§ 32.42 MONEY DEPOSITED IN LIEU OF BOND.
   Any person arrested for the violation of a city law, in lieu of the bond mentioned in § 32.41 may deposit with the City Judge or Sheriff such sum as may be specified by either of said officers, who shall give to the person arrested a receipt for the money so deposited in lieu of bail; if the person depositing the money appears before the City Court at the time of the first setting thereof after the money was so deposited, then said money shall be returned to the person depositing it, but if he or she fails to appear, the City Judge shall declare the deposit forfeited to the city and cause the same to be paid to the treasury.
