(A) Fees established. The City Council shall establish a schedule of fees, charges, and expenses and a collection procedure for land use permits, conditional use permits, variances, and zoning amendments. The schedule of fees, listed in the table below, shall be posted in the City-County Planning Office and may be altered or amended only by the City Council.

The fees are based on two objectives: 1. Covering actual costs of processing applications, including staff review time, holding hearings, and making on-site inspections. 2. Keeping fees low enough to promote affordable housing. | |
(B) Payment required. Until all applicable fees and charges have been paid in full, no action may be taken on any application or appeal.
