In any civil action brought against any public official or employee of the city alleging a violation of initiative 75 or similar subsequent initiative, the city shall defend the action on behalf of the official or employee and indemnify the official or employee for any liability resulting from the alleged violation of initiative 75 or similar subsequent initiative.
