The Building Official of the city or the Public Works Director is authorized and empowered to revoke any permit granted under the terms of this chapter if it shall become known to him or her that the permittee is, in any manner, failing to comply with the terms of the permit or this subchapter or, when in the opinion of the official, public convenience and safety require such revocation.
