It is a misdemeanor for any person to violate any of the provisions of this chapter, and, upon conviction thereof, shall, if a penalty is not otherwise specified, be punished by a fine of not more than $500, to which court costs shall be added. In situations found appropriate by the trial court, restitution may also be required.
