(a) The convention and visitor's bureau board shall consist of seven voting members, and sections 2-241 and 2-242 shall apply to the board. While not required, voting members should include:
(1) One member of the city chamber of commerce board of directors who may be appointed by members of the chamber board; and
(2) One member from the local hotel industry.
(b) The community services director and the director of finance of the city shall serve as additional ex-officio members of the board.
(c) Notwithstanding this section, the convention and visitors bureau board shall be active until December 1, 2024, when it shall become inactive.
