Sec. 46-120. Pavement cuts and excavations.
   Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
      Backfill means the restoration of excavated material.
      Director means the director of the department designated by the city manager to enforce and administer this division, or the director's authorized representative.
      Embankment means excavated material placed on the surface.
      Pavement cut means a cut made into the paved surface of a public street, alley, curb, or sidewalk.
      Pavement excavation means the removal of material below the public street, alley, curb, or sidewalk paved surface.
