Sec. 30-54. Basic qualifications of applicants.
   All applicants for positions in the police reserve force must have the following basic qualifications:
   (1)   Be over 21 years old;
   (2)   Be a United States citizen;
   (3)   Have a level of education acceptable to the screening board;
   (4)   Be physically able to perform the functions of the position of police officer;
   (5)   Be of good moral character;
   (6)   Have never been convicted of any criminal offense higher than a Class C misdemeanor; and
   (7)   Meet Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) requirements for reserve officers.
