§ 90.17 CERTAIN ANIMALS PROHIBITED OR LIMITED BY NUMBER.
   (A)   Swine. No person shall keep swine within the town of limits.
   (B)   Cats and dogs. No person shall keep upon his or her premises more than two adult felines or two adult canines.
   (C)   Rabbits. Rabbits are allowed only by permit. The rabbits shall be confined to a pen, cage or yard fenced with appropriate material to contain them at all times.
   (D)   Small animals and fowl. It shall be lawful for any person to keep or maintain a combined total of six chickens, ducks or other similar-sized fowl on any property in the town limits less than 1.75 acres of open area, but they shall be confined to a pen, cage or yard fenced with appropriate material to contain them at all times.
   (E)   Livestock.
      (1)   It shall be lawful for any person to keep or maintain cattle, sheep, horses, llamas, alpacas, bison, ostriches, rheas, emus, goats, turkey, chickens, geese or other fowl on any property in the town limits that is 1.75 acres of open area or larger.
      (2)   The number of livestock allowed shall be limited as follows:
         (a)   One cattle, horse, bison, ostrich, rhea, emu, sheep, goat, llama or alpaca permitted for each 1.75 acres of open area; and
         (b)   Twelve turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese or other similar-sized fowl permitted, but they shall be confined to a pen, cage or yard fenced with appropriate material to contain them at all times.
   (F)   Breeding for profit. All breeding kennels must be approved by the Council.
