§ 30.16 FIRE CHIEF; POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   The Chief of the Fire Department of the town shall have sole command and control over all persons connected with the Fire Department of the town, and shall possess full power and authority over its organization, government and discipline, and shall have the same powers as the Town Marshal during fires in the discharge of his or her duties in the suppression of fires, riots, disturbances and breaches of the peace and to make complaint against any person or persons violating any town ordinance, and shall arrest such persons or persons and take them before the Town Judge.
   (B)   The Fire Chief shall have entire command and control and direction of all members of the Fire Department and over all other persons who may be present at fires, and shall at all times have the full power of a member of the police force, and shall have charge of and be responsible for the engines and other apparatus and the property of the town furnished the Fire Department and see that they are at all times in good condition and ready for use in the extinguishing of fires, subject only to such orders as may be made by the Mayor or Town Council.
