(A) There is hereby created the office of Electrical Inspector, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the confirmation of the City Council. The Electrical Inspector shall have had at least two years experience as an electrician, shall be of good moral character, shall be versed in the approved methods of electrical construction for safety of life and property and the National Electrical Code.
(B) He or she shall receive compensation as the Council may decide.
