Subd. 1. Required Numbering. Each separate residential, commercial, or industrial building in the city shall have a street number displayed thereon in a manner so as to be visible from the street serving the building. If such separate residential, commercial, or industrial building is so constructed that the numbering is not readily visible from the street, then the street numbering shall also appear at the street entrance to the building. All numbers shall be at least four inches high and shall be of contrasting color to the background.
Subd. 2. Numbering System. The number system for street numbers for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings shall be the responsibility of the City Administrator, who shall supply the appropriate assigned number to the owner or occupant of any building.
Subd. 3. Exception. This section shall not apply to accessory buildings as defined in the zoning ordinance of the city.
