It is the intent of this chapter to regulate exterior area lighting within R-1, R-2, R-3, R- 6, R-12 and R-24 Residential Districts. It is further the purpose of this chapter to prohibit the placement of exterior area lighting which shines, glares, reflects or is directed in such a manner or with such a degree of brightness as to be detrimental or disturbing to the comfort or repose of other persons.
