1226.08 ZONING CERTIFICATE TIME LIMIT.
   Zoning certificates shall only be issued for, and shall only be valid for a period of one year, except for planned unit developments as set forth in Chapter 1256. If construction has not begun within that year, the Zoning Officer shall have the discretion and authority to extend the zoning certificate approval for an additional one-year period if an application for extension is received before the issued zoning certificate expires. If no construction has begun at the end of this extension, the zoning certificate shall become null and void, and a new zoning certificate shall be required.
