Pipe shall be laid in a trench that is carefully made with the bottom trimmed to a perfect grade, having depressions for joints of pipes so that each length of pipe shall be evenly supported throughout its entire length. The interior of each length is to be made perfectly clean and free from cement before the next length is laid down.
