(A) The Town Council shall fix the number of deputy marshals authorized for employment by this section.
(B) The Beverly Shores Police Department shall employ no more than 13 deputy marshals to serve as law enforcement officers during any calendar year.
(C) (1) The number fixed by this section may be suspended in circumstances requiring the imposition of marshal law or during the declaration of an emergency or disaster as otherwise provided for by law.
(2) Furthermore, nothing in this section shall preclude the appointment or lawful establishment of a police auxiliary or reserve police officers for the Town of Beverly Shores.
