(A) There is hereby reestablished an Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals.
(B) The Board of Zoning Appeals shall consist of 5 members.
(C) There shall be 3 citizen members appointed by the Town Council President, 1 of whom must be a member of the Plan Commission, and 2 must not be members of the Plan Commission.
(D) There shall be 1 citizen member appointed by the Town Council, who must not be a member of the Plan Commission.
(E) There shall be 1 member appointed by the Plan Commission, who must be a citizen member of the Plan Commission other than the Plan Commission member appointed by the Town Council President.
(F) The members shall serve 4-year terms, with the current terms staggered to end on the dates specified below, and the subsequent term beginning on the next January 1, and continuing on 4-year terms thereafter:
(1) The terms for the Town Council President’s appointment from the Plan Commission and the Town Council’s citizen appointment shall begin on January 1, 2020 and expire on December 31, 2023;
(2) The current term for 1 of the Town Council President’s citizen appointments shall expire on December 31, 2020;
(3) The current term for the Plan Commission’s appointment of 1 of its citizen members shall expire on December 31, 2021; and
(4) The current term for the other 1 of the Town Council President’s citizen appointments shall expire on December 31, 2022.
(G) The powers, organization, policies, and rules of procedure in front of the Board shall be governed by I.C. 36-7-4-901 et seq., and § 155.034 of this code of ordinances.
