§ 33.01 CLERK-TREASURER TO POST BOND.
   The Clerk-Treasurer, upon assuming the offices and duties thereof, shall post with the town a bond, which may be amended from time to time by the Town Council, in the sum of $15,000; conditioned that, if the Clerk-Treasurer shall render a true account of his or her Office and of the doings therein to the proper authority when required thereby, or by law, and shall promptly pay over to the person or office entitled thereto, all money which may come into his or her hands by virtue of the Office, and shall faithfully account for all the balances of money remaining in his or her hands at the termination of his or her Office, and shall hereafter exercise all reasonable diligence and care in the preservation and lawful disposal of all money, books, papers, securities or other property appertaining to his or her office and deliver them to his or her successor, or to any person authorized to receive the same, and if he or she shall faithfully and impartially, without fear, favor, fraud or oppression, discharge all other duties now or thereafter required of his or her Office by law, then the bond to be void, otherwise in full force and effect.
