Bereavement pay is designed to provide FT employees with paid time away from work to grieve and handle matters related to a death in their family. In the event of a death in the FT employee’s family, after discussion with his or her supervisor, the FT employee may be granted up to 5 days of paid bereavement leave. In unusual circumstances, additional paid or unpaid leave may be granted at the discretion of the supervisor.
