§ 30.20 PURCHASING AGENCY.
   (A)   Powers and duties. The purchasing agency shall have all the powers and duties authorized under I.C. 5-22, as may be supplemented from time to time by ordinances adopted by the Town Council and policies adopted by the purchasing agency and the Clerk-Treasurer of the town.
   (B)   Town-wide purchasing agency. The purchasing agency shall act as the purchasing agency for every agency, board, office, branch, bureau, commission, council, department or other establishment of the civil Town of Beverly Shores, Porter County, Indiana.
   (C)   Purchasing agent designations.
      (1)   The purchasing agency may designate in writing any employee of the town as a purchasing agent.
      (2)   For the day-to-day purchases and acquisitions of the town, the Clerk-Treasurer is designated as the town's purchasing agent.
      (3)   For the purchases and acquisitions of the Police Department, the Town Marshal is designated as the Police Department purchasing agent.
