There is hereby established a Health and Safety Commission. Except as otherwise provided in this article, all provisions of this Code and any other rules and regulations generally applicable to commissions shall apply to the Health and Safety Commission. The Health and Safety Commission shall be advisory to the City Council and other officials and staff of the City and the commission shall have the authority to make recommendations to the City Manager or City Council regarding matters within its purview.
