§ 153.20 MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR.
   (A)   Every sign, including those exempted from this chapter, shall always be maintained in good structural condition. All signs shall be kept neatly painted, including all metal parts and supports thereof that are not rust resistant. The building inspector or authorized representative shall inspect and shall have authority to order the painting, repair, alteration or removal of any sign which constitutes a hazard to the health, safety or general welfare of the public.
   (B)   No person shall suffer or permit any sign, whether conforming or nonconforming, to become or constitute a hazard to health or safety by reason of dilapidation, destruction or improper or inadequate maintenance.
   (C)   It shall be the affirmative duty of those having control over the signs to keep or bring the same into compliance with this chapter.
