§ 32.001 BOARD CREATED; POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Hospital Board of the city which shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities of organization and operation of a hospital in the city, including the medical practice therein.
   (B)   The Board shall endeavor to achieve the purposes for which the Bethany General Hospital was planned, constructed and put into operation, so that the hospital may become an accredited hospital and may meet the minimum standards for approval set by the Joint Committee on Accreditation of the American Hospital Association and in connection therewith, the Hospital Board shall have the power to employ an Administrator, appoint committees, to contract as a Board and comply with contracts and to do all things necessary to accomplish that end.
   (C)   The Board shall have additional powers, duties and responsibilities as may be created by resolution of the trustees of the Bethany Hospital Trust or as set forth in any contract that may be established between the Board and the Hospital Trust.
