No person, firm or corporation, or any agent or employee thereof, shall destroy, alter, conceal or disguise physical evidence, plant false evidence or furnish false information which impedes a police officer or officer of the Municipal Court in the performance of his or her duty, or which is intended to prevent the apprehension or obstruct the prosecution or defense of any person.
