§ 11.17 UNAUTHORIZED USES.
   (A)   It is unlawful and an offense for any person, firm, corporation or other legal entity to use the seal of the city for private purposes.
   (B)   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      PRIVATE PURPOSES. Any action taken by any person, firm, corporation or other legal entity which serves their private interest rather than the official business of the city.
   (C)   Further, the following acts of using the seal are specifically prohibited:
      (1)   Use of city seal on any product or service, except those services offered by the city;
      (2)   Use of the seal for political campaign advertising purposes, including advertisements for candidates for City Council or municipal elections; and
      (3)   Use of the seal to indicate endorsement by the city of any product, service or issue, except those specifically endorsed by the City Council.
