(A) (1) The City Council shall have the right and power to determine what is a nuisance and to abate all nuisances within the limits of the city.
(2) For the protection of the public health, the public parks, the public water supply and the public sewerage disposal system the Council shall have the power outside the corporate limits of the city.

(B) The abatement of a nuisance shall consist of remedying or removing the thing causing the nuisance. (Prior Code, § 9-312)
