(A) The streets running north and south shall be designated by name.
(B) The first street on the east limits of the city shall be MacArthur Boulevard, with the exception hereinafter noted. The north and south streets in order from east to west shall be named as follows: MacArthur Boulevard, North Hammond Avenue, North Wheeler Avenue, North Redmond Avenue, North Donald Avenue, North Peniel Avenue, North College Avenue, North Central Road, North Asbury Avenue, North Mueller Avenue, North Willow Avenue, North Holloway, North Beaver Avenue, North Rockwell Avenue, North Donna Avenue, North Divis Avenue, North Alexander Lane, North Glade Avenue, North Thompkins Road, North Tropicana Avenue, Council Road, North Markwell Avenue, North Shannon Avenue, Eagle Lane, with the exceptions as follows: the first street west of Peniel between N.W. 19th Street and N.W. 22nd Street shall be Keeton Drive; the first street west of College between N.W. 19th Street and N.W. 23rd Street shall be Gleason Avenue; the first street west of Mueller between N.W. 25th Street and N.W. 30th Street shall be Oakridge; the first street west of Beaver between N.W. 50th Street and N.W. 53rd Street shall be Dawson Avenue; the first street west of Divis between N.W. 17th Street and N.W. 20th Street shall be Timber Avenue; the first street west of Divis Avenue between N.W. 39th Street Expressway and N.W. 45th Street shall be Martin Avenue; the first street west of Glade Avenue between N.W. 28th Terrace and N.W. 30th Street and between N.W. 30th Terrace and N.W. 31st Street shall be Flamingo; the first street west of Rockwell Avenue between N.W. 43rd Street and N.W. 44th Street shall be Rea Avenue.
